Australian Government’s Drone Discussion Paper & Consultation
There is yet another chance to have your say on the future of drones, this time in Australia. The Australian Government is consulting on their current regulations and some proposals. The Australian Government’s drone discussion paper is out for consultation until the 22nd September 2017.

SORA – Specific Operations Risk Assessment for Drones
The Joint Authorities for Rulemaking of Unmanned Systems (JARUS) have released the first version of their guidelines on Specific Operations Risk Assessment – or SORA. The SORA document sets out a holistic approach to assessing the risks of both the operation and the system (drone).
